Stephanie and Aaron’s Wedding

An Outdoor Wedding in the Woodlands

Stephanie and Aaron met on Tinder, how awesome! It turned out they had quite a few mutual friends and Aaron went to University with a few of Stephanie’s primary school friends. She told us how crazy it is that they didn’t meet earlier.

Shortly after meeting, Stephanie went to work on a cruise ship in the US. It’s something she’d been planning for a while. After 3 weeks, she decided to come home to Aaron, she told us it was the best decision she ever made.

The Proposal

Stephanie and Aaron were having some professional photographs taken whilst on a cruise in South America when Aaron popped the question. They turned out to be photos they would treasure forever. Aaron knows how much Stephanie loves holidays and proposing on a cruise had a special meaning to them both.

The Big Day

Stephanie told us she felt incredibly nervous and excited on the day.” I had ginger tea in the morning to help settle my nerves. I couldn’t wait to see Aaron at the alter and all of our family and friends. I held back the tears until my Dad came to collect me, then we were all in tears! I don’t think you can anticipate how you will feel on your big day, there’s nothing like it.”

They were married at Hogarths Hotel in Solihull. “It was one of two venues we viewed, but as soon as I walked in I knew I wanted to get married there. The hotel has a really welcoming and warming feeling to it, we felt right at home. The ceremony location we had chosen was outside in the gardens but surrounded by woodlands, it was just magical!”

Stephanie told us how her and Aaron wrote their own personal vows. “Mine were quite funny and I included some of our own jokes. Aaron’s were very emotional and made me cry.” Stephanie’s Grandad did a reading. She told us how the ceremony was just perfect and her absolute favourite part of the day.

Stephanie’s Dress Me Pretty Experience

“I knew the kind of dress I wanted. I visited a couple of boutiques before going into Dress Me Pretty and had OK-ish experiences. Amy and the team were clearly very experienced and made my visit really special, there was such a wide variety of dresses I found it hard to decide which ones to try on, the ladies made it so easy and encouraged me to try on all different types of dresses. ‘My’ dress was the 5th one I had tried but as soon as I put it on, I started crying. I knew that was the one! Thank you to the team for making my experience so enjoyable. I wish I could do it all again!”

Stephanie’s advice for Brides to Be…

“Enjoy the planning! Whilst it can be quite overwhelming and stressful be sure to break it down into little steps and lean on your suppliers as much as possible as they are the experts who can give advice from experience. There is bound to be something that doesn’t go to plan on the day but don’t sweat it, I bet your guests don’t even notice after lots of fizz anyway!

Also, some advice that was given to me. On the day, make sure you and your new Husband take a step back to take it all in. Our day absolutely flew by! So, make sure you take the time to just observe your nearest and dearest having a great time and celebrating.”

Stephanie wore our Frances Dress by Essense of Australia. She told us it made her feel like a million dollars.
