A Beach Wedding in Ibiza
Stephanie and Jamie met at a house party when they were just 16 and 18. Young love blossomed and 10 years later they were married.
Jamie proposed in Blackpool. After a long day at the Pleasure Beach, Jamie encouraged Stephanie to join him for a walk. She had told him all about the huge glitterball on the promenade and he was keen to take her there. They stood under the glitterball and watched the beautiful sunset sparkle as it shone over the ocean. Jamie got down on one knee and proposed. Stephanie had no idea that her mum and friend were hiding in a bus watching the whole time! Afterwards they went back to their friend’s house for a BBQ and her dad bought Champagne for everyone. Just perfect!
The Big Day…
2 days before the wedding, Thomas Cook went out of business and so they had the huge worry of trying to re-arrange flights. 8 family members were unable to get flights which was heart breaking. They didn’t know if the wedding was even going to take place!
“On the day of the wedding, I was so relieved it was happening that I just didn’t stop smiling the whole day and night. It was the most amazing day of my life and I will never forget it”
The best bit for Stephanie was marrying her best friend in the whole world with the people she loves the most.
We asked Stephanie about her experience at Dress Me Pretty…
Dress Pretty was the first shop I rang and made an appointment at. I felt really welcome as soon as I walked into the boutique. Everyone was so lovely and helpful. I knew the dress I thought I wanted and picked that plus 5 others. The third dress I tried on was “the dress” which funnily enough was the dress I didn’t really like on the hanger. The girls were amazing and were honest about what suited me.
Stephanie wore our Trinny Dress by Essense of Australia – doesn’t she look amazing!
Stephanie’s advice for brides to be…
Take a few minutes to take everything in on your big day. It will go by in a flash so you just want to soak it all in, relax and have the best time. I also had a wedding planner and it was the best thing I ever did! I don’t know what I would have done without her!
